FREDERICIA

For many many years Fredericia has had a reputation for being a very dirty
industrial town, or - since it has always been a very busy railway junction -
'the town where you change trains'. But Fredericia is much more than that.
Fredericia is a nice provinsial town with lots of attractions for adults
and children alike. The heavy industry - which was once the trademark of the
town - has been reduced to a minimum and the through traffic - which is an ever
growing problem for most Danish towns and cities - is led away from town by means
of motorways and large ringroads.

The centre of town is circled by the old ramparts.
